THE BOWEN HOUSE

Supporting Community
Arts and Education

The Bowen House was bequeathed to the First Presbyterian Church of Logan in 1989 by Mary Louise Bowen to be used for the benefit of community arts and education.  The first resident of the home, circa 1831, was John Rochester and the house was used in many ways over the years: musical evenings, workshops, and classes, providing a cultural center not often found in a small community.  The Bowen House is leased from FPC Logan and is an outreach of the church.  It continues the mission to provide the Hocking Hills region and southeastern Ohio with opportunities for diverse cultural enrichment and positive social activities, along with a commitment to historic preservation.  Please check out their latest programs and events.
